This is what Group C looks like after the first round of matches has been played. France are in 2nd place after suffering a major blow, by obtaining just one point against Romania. However, the effect of this blow was reduced by the Italians, which suffered a huge 3-0 defeat at the hands of hard-working Holland. France must register full points from the Netherlands encounter to keep their Euro 2008 hopes alive, and hope that Italy get a draw or lose against Romania.
